    first_imgPosition SummaryThe University at Buffalo is establishing a list of eligiblecandidates for the Plant Utilities Engineer 1 title. As a PlantUtilities Engineer 1, you would operate, maintain, troubleshoot,repair, test, and calibrate mechanical and electrical equipmentproviding heat, hot water, ventilation, air conditioning, andelectrical distribution in a safe and efficient manner. You wouldmake recommendations on major overhauls and replacement ofequipment and identify, recommend and develop energy conservationprojects. You may supervise subordinate staff in the operation andmaintenance of heating facilities and mechanical equipment. You mayalso supervise contractors in an emergency or project situation andyou may be required to assume responsibility for operations of theoverall physical plant. Positions involve shift work within a24-hour work schedule which includes night and holidayshifts.The Plant Utilities Engineer 1 exam is now a decentralized,continuous exam.   • Sagaponack Man Accused of Setting Fire to Patchogue Bar

    first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York An alleged arsonist who was previously accused of setting fire to a $34 million oceanfront Hamptons mansion is facing new charges of allegedly trying to burn down a Patchogue bar last year.David Osiecki pleaded not guilty Dec. 18 at Suffolk County court to an additional charge of arson.Prosecutors said the 54-year-old Sagaponack man used his cigar to set a decorative bale of hay afire at Off Key Tiki Bar on Baker Place following an argument with the owner of the establishment on Nov. 3, 2013.The fire caused major damage but no injuries.Osiecki was previously charged with arson for allegedly setting fire to a seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom house on Dune Road in Bridgehampton on April 14, 2014.Judge Fernando Comacho ordered him held without bail on Dec. 18.     first_img A blockbuster exclusive $1bn United States boxing streaming partnership aims to engage a new generation of fight enthusiasts, as well as reigniting current fans passions for the sport.The bumper eight-year deal, between Matchroom Boxing and Perform Group, will see some of boxing’s biggest stars feature over 16 bouts staged in various venues across America.Set to streamed upon the Perform live and on-demand service DAZN, Matchroom Boxing USA will be available for one monthly fee and no long term contract, with none of the fight nights to be on PPV.Eddie Hearn, managing director of Matchroom Boxing, who helped announce the joint venture in New York, explained: “This is a historic moment for Matchroom and the sport of boxing.   • Dave Wagstaffe: Funeral for Wolves winger

    first_imgThe funeral of Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Dave Wagstaffe will be held later.Wagstaffe, who died on 6 August aged 70 after a short illness, made 324 league appearances for Wolves.The winger, whose nickname was Waggy, helped Wolves beat his former team Manchester City 2-1 in the 1974 League Cup final at Wembley.Fans have been invited to the service at St Peter’s Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton, at 12:30 BST.Wagstaffe left Wolves in 1976 for Blackburn and had two spells at the Lancashire club, either side of a brief period at Blackpool.While at Blackburn he became the first player to receive a red card in English football. The winger came through the Manchester City youth system, but spent 12 years of his career at Wolves.During his time at Molineux, he was part of the team that finished runners-up to Tottenham in the 1972 Uefa Cup, scoring in the second leg of the final.last_img read more
