WHITTIER – A 4-year-old boy was taken by helicopter to a local trauma center Monday after being accidentally run over by his mother’s car in front of their home, officials said. The condition of the child was not immediately available. The child was conscious and crying, and his vital signs were stable when he was taken to the hospital, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Dave Lopez. The incident was reported about 5:45 p.m. at a home in the 8900 block of Santa Fe Springs Road, said Whittier police Lt. Wyatt Powell. The victim’s mother, who was not identified, was pulling into the house’s driveway. She apparently did not see the boy running toward the car in time to stop, Powell said. 165Let’s talk business.Catch up on the business news closest to you with our daily newsletter.
