  • A Taylor man may have died from Magic Mushrooms

    first_imgMagic Mushrooms may have caused the death of a Taylor resident at the Halfway Hot Springs near Nakusp, BC.The Nakusp RCMP stated Thursday, that preliminary autopsy results suggest “the cause of death may be linked to the consumption of what was thought by the individual to be ‘magic mushrooms’ or psilocybin mushrooms.”According to the Arrow Lakes News, the Interior Regional Coroners Office are still investigating the death. The autopsy has completed and they are currently waiting for the results of a toxicology report. Once microscopic analysis has been completed on the toxicology report, the coroner will then comment on the cause of death.- Advertisement -The article goes on to say, at this time, it’s unknown if Dieter Egger’s death was influenced by either ‘magic mushrooms’ or another type of mushroom.The RCMP still say foul play was not a factor in Egger’s death, but will continue to investigate where the mushrooms came from.Dieter Egger and a friend spent several hours on Sunday November 8th in the Halfway Hot Springs when Egger’s suddenly stopped breathing.  Egger’s friend then tried to revive him with CPR before he left the area to try and get help.Advertisement The lack of mobile phone service in the area caused the friend to hike out to the main road in order to make the 911 call.last_img read more
