The world’s first certification programme for e-learning professionals hasbeen launched by the Institute of IT Training (IITT) and the TrainingFoundation. Aimed at anyone involved in e-learning – consultants, developers, tutors andmanagers – the Certified e-Learning Professional Programme comprises 300 hoursof online study designed for collaborative learning with online tutorialsupport. The courses have been developed by the Training Foundation, which alsomanages the programme’s website at www.elearningprofessional.com. They areunderpinned by the IITT’s competency framework, which was developed on thebasis of more than two years’ experience of setting e-learning standards.
