The 2-9 Cardinals are currently losing to the Wildcats, 21-7.For the Louisville fan base, the season can’t end soon enough. It’s been an absolutely brutal year, which featured head coach Bobby Petrino getting fired. The future could be bright, though.Louisville reportedly has its eyes on Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm, who played for the Cardinals. Most believe he’ll end up taking the job.247Sports is now reporting that it isn’t a lock, though. From the report:Jeff Brohm-to-Louisville once seemed like a forgone conclusion, but 247Sports is hearing that’s no longer a certainty.Hours after Brohm said Purdue “is where I want to be” amid rumors he’s headed to Louisville, sources within the Purdue program tell 247Sports there’s increasing momentum that Brohm plans to stay in West Lafayette.Of course, this is all fluid; if a meeting between Brohm/his camp and new Louisville athletics director Vince Tyra happens within the next few days, things could quickly change.Brohm reportedly addressed the Louisville rumors in front of his team today and said there was nothing for them to worry about.Stay tuned.last_img
